Founded in 1985, Lyon Metal Roofing began manufacturing and distributing metal roofing, metal siding, metal buildings and accessory products in 2000. Prior to entering the manufacturing segment of the business, Lyon Metal Roofing was involved in commercial and residential roof contracting services. Having been associated with both residential and commercial metal roofing for almost 40 years, our dependable staff understands the needs of both contractors and homeowners alike.
We are a premier manufacturer and distributor of vinyl siding, metal buildings, post frame buildings, pole barns, carports, metal roofing and accessories in 29, 26, and 24 gauge thicknesses in many profiles, colors, and shapes.
We maintain our headquarters in Piney Flats, Tennessee, and have four additional manufacturing / sales facilities in Hildebran, North Carolina, Pelzer, South Carolina, Radford, Virginia and Jamesville, North Carolina for the convenience of our customers. We also maintain additional retail showrooms in Piney Flats, Tennessee and Greeneville, Tennessee allowing retail customers and contractors alike to easily see and learn about our metal roofing, metal siding, metal buildings, vinyl siding, windows, doors, accessories, and more.

Our Roofing History
Lyon Metal Roofing has been serving the community since 1985.
First Manufactured Metal Job
In 1999, when we first started manufacturing metal roofing in our 40 foot wide by 100 foot long building behind our house, we didn’t realize that we would be where we are today.
This was the first job that we ever produced and sold.
Back then, we had a very small rollformer machine that required us to measure each sheet individually and then cut it with a hand chop shear.
